This is one of the most common things we hear at Creative Flow, and honestly, it's exactly what we aim for!
We believe the best birthdays aren't just about cake and presents. They're about getting completely caught up in something magical - creating, experimenting, getting messy, using your imagination and having the kind of fun that makes time disappear.
That's what we create at Creative Flow. Every party is a one-of-a-kind experience, thoughtfully designed to make the birthday child feel incredibly special while giving every guest something completely unique and exciting to do, create, and take home. From magical potions and glowing slime to creating a new furry friend or becoming a neon artist, our parties are anything but ordinary.
And while the kids are busy making the magic happen, parents don't have to lift a finger. We handle every single detail of the party from the setup, instructor-led activities, drinks, cupcakes, cleanup and even the option to add food. You can simply sit back, relax and enjoy watching your special little one experience a birthday they'll never forget.
Because at the end of the day, we want every birthday to feel like the best birthday they've ever had, and the best party their friends have ever attended.
All parties include 60-90mins of creative workshop led by staff, plus designated time for food and presents. Each party includes cupcakes for the children to decorate as part of our creative time, one juice box and each child will make items to take home, so no need for a cake or party favours, we know you're busy, so we've got it covered, we can even take care of the pizza as an optional add on! Parties are best enjoyed by independent school aged children (kindergarten and up). This is a drop off style party - in our open floor plan studio, background noise can be an unwelcome distraction to party guests and instructor during art class portion of party. To ensure the best experience for your birthday kiddo and their friends, we request that only host parents stay during party. We promise your kids will be in good hands with our experienced instructors. (Children with diverse abilities requiring support are obviously an exception).
Create A Pet
(Build your new BFF!)
Our most popular birthday theme for 4 years running just got an upgrade! Now you and your friends have the opportunity to not only adopt a new BFF, but to BUILD one!
Choose your new best friend from an assortment of recognizable and adorable cats and dogs (and sometimes a bunny hops into the mix!), then stuff your new pet with love and add their very own special BFF heart to bring them to life. Give your new friend a name and personality, and then let the creativity begin! You and your friends will design and decorate a custom t-shirt for your new besties, create a special carrier for them to travel home in, and make your new friendship official with an adoption certificate. But before anyone can leave the studio, there's one very important stop to make... The Creative Flow Vet Clinic! Every new pet gets a full checkup to make sure they're healthy and happy before heading home. Check their heartbeat, take an X-ray, give them their vaccinations, bandage any boo-boos, and get them officially cleared for adoption!
And of course, as our guest of honour, the birthday kid gets an extra special pet and custom t-shirt to commemorate their big day.

Cake Or Fake?!
Missing our famous cake challenge? We are back... but with a twist! Get ready for the most... NOT delicious cake challenge you've ever seen! You and your friends will design, construct, and decorate your very own cardboard cake using colourful faux frosting, piping bags, sprinkles and all kinds of fun decorations. The challenge is to create the most realistic cake you can, and to ask the parents "is this cake, or is this FAKE?!" And the best part? There is absolutely no baking required! Your masterpiece is yours to keep forever!

Glow Party!
Get ready to glow! Our newest party option will be the talk of the town, combining two of our messiest, most one of a kind activities you can only find at Creative Flow! Under the black lights of our splatter room, you and your friends will start by creating your very own glittery neon glow slime, using our secret recipe for the stretchiest slime ever! Then suit up and get ready to create your glowing masterpieces. You'll each get one canvas to fill with neon paint, splatters and colour under the black lights. Each glow party includes wo hours of glowing, messy, creative fun for grades 1+!

-2hr party timeslot including colouring table **(note: Although slime is fully instructor-led, time in the splatter room varies greatly depending on the attention span of the kids - splatter painting is NOT an instructor led activity, it's a fun, free art experience for the group to listen to music and throw paint around, so timing is a bit tricky to predict on this for that reason. Party timeslot is 2hrs but sometimes naturally wraps up in 90mins. Colouring table is provided at the end if there is extra time available. Because attention span expands with age and maturity, based on our experience, we strongly recommend ages 7+ for this party. We do not have endless activities available or an environement suitable for sugared up kids to run around in if a pack of crazy 5 years olds lose interest and finish your $400 painting party in 5mins... Your choice, you aren't allowed to be mad if that happens, you've been warned! )
Potions & "Potter"
Welcome to the wizarding world of Creative Flow Craft Studio! During this party, your guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite mystical character to get into the spirit of things! You and each of your friends will learn how to make a dazzling magic wand and magical dragon egg or golden snitch, then we will come together as a group, to make a bubbling, boiling, magic potion, with ingredients from the black market (and Springfield Bulks!). If our magic potion is a success, and it boils and bubbles, then each child has done their wizarding duty and they will get to take some home, to use in the bath!

The Glam Lab
Get ready to leave with everything you and your besties need for a full DIY spa day! Girlies will listen to music while making your own lip gloss, bath bombs, shower jelly, face masks and lip scrubs, then decorate a cute makeup tote box to take everything home in. Perfect for a Friday night birthday before a sleepover, come in your PJs and robe, and you'll be all ready to leave with a whole collection of handmade spa goodies to go home and play around with! We even have a nail painting station set up, so get ready for a glow up!

Squishy Party!
We are completely squishy obsessed here at the studio, and we know you are too! We've been hard at work testing, experimenting and researching to figure out exactly what makes the BEST squishies—and we can't wait for you and your friends to try them out! We'll start by learning how to make some super simple squishies using everyday things you can find at home, including our very own magic potion squishies. But then we'll have to pause our squishy research for one very important job... MAKING SLIME! After much diligent research by our highly qualified Squishy Research Team, we've discovered that the secret to the best squishies is... slime! And who makes the best slime? The only professional slime makers in the Okanagan, of course. US!! You'll make your own slime and use it to fill a super cute dumpling squishy (with glitter, obviously), then choose one additional squishy to fill and customize.

Slime Party!
Get ready to get messy! If there's one thing we have become sort of famous for over the years, it's our world class SLIME!! Guests will use our famous Creative Flow slime recipe to make not one, but TWO custom slimes - a soft and stretchy butter slime and a super stretchy clear slime. Then it's time to make them their own with our huge selection of glitter, charms and fun add-ins!
Once their creations are complete, there's plenty of time to stretch, squish, swirl and play with their new slimes before decorating your containers and heading home with two custom creations of their very own!

Want all the creative fun without all the birthday extras?
Keep it simple with 60 minutes of hands-on creative fun at the studio! Perfect for group activities or birthday on a budget. Choose one of our pre-selected activities and spend an hour making, creating and having fun with your friends.

This option is perfect if you want the Creative Flow experience without the full birthday party package. There’s no food, cupcakes, present-opening or extra party time, just an hour of creativity, laughter and something awesome to take home.

Slime Bar
Something that every kid will love! Each attendee will get to choose one slime to make during the party, as well as choose 2 add ins from our selection of charms, glitter and more! Adds 15mins onto party time.

What party is complete without an assortment of candy and sweet treats! Add this onto your party for kids to enjoy during snack time. (May contain gluten and/or dairy)
Pizza
Add 2 medium cheese pizzas onto your party and keep your group fed and happy! We'll even take care of the delivery, plates and napkins.
Cupcake upgrade
Upgrade your complimentary cupcakes to a larger size, piping tubes and premium decorations. Includes custom theme toppers to match your party activity.
FAQ
Q: Can we bring additional food and drinks?
A: We provide pizza & juice boxes but parents are more than welcome to bring additional food. We just ask that you keep it packed up until the designated eating time to avoid cross contamination in the studio.
Q: What time should we arrive?
A: We ask that you please do not arrive more than 5mins prior as staff need time to set up between parties.
Q: Should I bring a cake?
A: Cupcakes are provided for kids to decorate during each party, so no need for a cake!
Q: Can we bring decorations?
A: Some parents choose to bring helium balloons, but other than that, our space is tastefully decorated, and snack table will be set up with table cloth prior to party time, so no need to bring anything, we got you covered! Pinatas are not permitted.
Q: Grandma really wants to come, I see that you prefer not to have extra adults, are there any exceptions?
A: No problem! We ask that the parents of guests please do not stay, but if one or two additional host family members wish to watch, we just ask that they be mindful of noise, and to sit back and realx and leave the instructor to work with the kids. Our parties are timed and planned for parents to kick back and watch, and can alter time if parents pop in and help the kids with the activities.
Q: Is there anything else I need to bring?
A: Not really! We truly aim to take care of every detail, so parents can actually enjoy the special day!
*Please note, for larger parties or kids needing a bit more time with crafts, we may ask that presents be opened at home due to time constraints, although we do have time allotted for this in general, sometimes flexibility is needed when working with groups of kids. Staff will mention this mid party if it appears to be an issue, we are happy to adjust accordingly, but please note this may then result in less time for crafts or snacks etc.
