Meet Miss Katie!
Some of my fondest childhood memories include spending my summers at Toronto's Harbourfront taking art classes at the art gallery, watching blown glass artists in Granville Island, and spending hours making jewelry at day camp and refusing to play outside with the other kids. As an adult, I still sometimes forget to go play outside when I am working on a new painting or pottery project, but luckily my two sons can be pretty persuasive! I believe that when we provide the tools and environment for children to explore their creativity, it has the ability so shape them for life, which is exactly what the mission is at Creative Flow Craft Studio.
As the owner of a licensed daycare program here in Kelowna from 2010-2017, I am proud to have had the opportunity to touch the lives of so many children in our community throughout the years, and am excited to continue to do so through the arts.
Meet Ben
Ben is our beautiful golden retriever studio dog. Ben is a proud Paws It Forward Rescue, who had a sad start to life, along with dozens of other Goldens at a breeding farm that got out of hand, but after a lot of patience and understanding of his nervousness and fears (never of kids funny enough, mostly of men and loud noises!), this gentle giant has come a long way, and comes to greet everyone who comes in, even the Dads! Ben tolerates getting his nails done in exchange for endless attention and the odd treat. He absolutely LOVES kids, and has two of his own at home. He loves pets and brushings and is thankful to have a life where he can come to work with his beloved Mum every single day! You can usually find him sleeping under the busiest table and taking his job of foot warmer very seriously.

Creative Flow Craft Studio was born out of a desire to allow children to explore many different aspects of fine arts, with diverse materials and opportunities. We believe that providing a creative and flexible environment and a variety of tools, allows children to open their minds to endless possibility. We value the concept of honouring the process rather than the product, which invites children to develop a positive, exploratory relationship with the arts, and fosters postivie self esteem. Without external pressure or influence, children allow their own creative style to emerge and develop, which is the foundation in which a true artist can blossom.
