SPRING BREAK CAMPS NOW OPEN!
Day Camps in Kelowna:
Looking for a creative outlet for your school aged children? We have everything your little creator needs to live their best artist life while you are away at work or enjoying a day to yourself!

Full day: Casual drop off between 8:30-9:30am Pick up between 4 & 4:30PM

Open to ages 5*-11
*Must be currently attending kindergarten at the time of registration, no exceptions.

Program is best suited for independent children, who love art and are able to participate in mature group activities without bouncing off the walls all day (we love you high energy kids...from afar, and energyplex would love you MUCH more, and you will have much more fun than in our quiet little art studio which isn't equipped to provide what you need!).
Week 1 - March 17-21st
Explore the arts
This week, we will spend intentional time each day, exploring a different art medium. I strongly believe that a true artist is born out of a love of creativity, and through the freedom to explore and develop personal skills, rather than through direct instruction. Children will be shown the fundamentals of each element, and then given ample time to play and create, to find their own style, through mediums such as clay, textiles, acrylic and watercolour paint, candle making, and paper crafts. Each day we will engage in tactile sensory crafting in addition to our guided group activity (aka we will make some sort of slime because the kids love it!!)
This session is best suited for more mature children who are interested in a deeper learning of art in a directed group setting, and are able to happily explore a seated project they are interested in, for 1-2 hours with extended focus and detail, while limiting distractions to other students.

Week 2 - March 24-28th
Baking
Join us for a week of baking and baking inspired crafts, from puffy paint pies, to home made dog treats for Ben, to hot chocolate bombs, we have each jay "jam" packed full of tasty fun! Kids will learn as a group how to make simple items for their family, such as french toast, mug cakes, rice krispie treats, no make jello tarts and edible slime! Friday will be (of course) left for our famous baking sabotage challenge, as well as lunch day where kids will learn how to make the BEST home made mac & cheese with a recipe to take home! For those new to the program, please be aware this is an art studio and art based program, not a professional cooking school; kids will be baking and cooking things in a large mixed group with ages 5-11, not individually for the most part, and arts and crafts will be a large proponent of the day. Check out our facebook page for photos of the studio and a general idea of the types of things we love to do here! We guarantee it will be fun, but we also don't want any expectations that a bunch of 5 year olds will leave the week as professional bakers! We have been running this program regularly for two years and it's one of the most popular programs we offer, largely due to the fun and creativity behind it!

*To manage numbers and to make it fair, no single day registration available for Friday

Daycamp FAQ
About the facility/FAQ:
Single day registration registration will depend on availability and open February 15th if spaces allow. The price for full day camp will be $60/day (same pricing as full week). We do not plan or schedule activities for each day in advance specifically, but instead allow the kids to guide our week, with an overarching vision of the theme and activities that we feel would be fun. When booking single days, please be aware that we will not have this information to provide, and if there is a specific activity listed that your child is interested in, we strongly recommend that you book the full week to guarantee they are able to participate in each opportunity listed.

Children need: Lunch & snacks suitable for full day, water bottle, outside clothes for the weather, and full change of clothes.

**Please note, if your child has pet allergies, our studio has, a lovely studio dog, a golden retriever named Ben. We are also a peanut friendly facility and do cook and bake on site, so if your child has severe food allergies, please contact us before registering, or consider that it might not be a safe fit in extreme cases.

You are welcome to transfer your booking to someone else, please contact me so I can obtain emergency contact information for that family.
