Beginner Sketching Series

Love to sketch and ready to learn some skills to take your work the next level? Join us for 8 weeks of beginner level sketching. In this class students will explore different sketching styles and dive into some key techniques, such as perspective, proportions, and shading techniques, using charcoal and graphite. We try to stay away from drawing boring bowls of fruit, and focus on themes that youth are more drawn to, such as anime, dragons, animals etc. and are always open to providing materials and subject matter that kids request or show interest in, making each sketching series unique. Intermediate class is offered on Thursdays for those looking to advance their skills with a more challenging class. All supplies included, students take sketch books home at the end of the session, please leave at the studio during the 8 weeks. Instructor: Gemma Tuesdays 5:30-7pm September 22nd through November 10th 2026 All skill levels welcome, recommended ages 8/9+
